BPNI Film (2014) launched showcasing glimpses of our 22 years long journey

The Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI) was born in 1991 at Sevagram , Wardha the place of  Gandhi's ashram during the final session of  “Super- Trainer Workshop on Recent Advances in Human Lactation and Breastfeeding Management” with an aim of creating an organized front for advocacy on breastfeeding in India.

On 27 March 1992, four motivated individuals among the trained group came together over dinner in Delhi and decided to pool in some money to kick start BPNI. Training of health workers have always been BPNI’s core area of work since then.
Over these years BPNI started playing an active role in policy analysis and development. Monitoring the baby food companies for compliance with the Infant Milk Substitute (IMS) Act has always been a priority.

BPNI pioneers in coordinating national as well as global projects on mobilizing worldwide action on breastfeeding policies and programs.
BPNI has always anchored strong ethical values and is known for its integrity.

We find immense pleasure in launching this 10-minute film made in year 2014 which captures the glimpses of our 22 years long journey. We hope you will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!!
